Refund & Cancellation Policy

Homeschool Coding Academy

Last Updated: May 18, 2026

This Refund and Cancellation Policy explains how payments, cancellations, failed payments, course access, extensions, and manual grade review fees are handled for Homeschool Coding Academy courses. By enrolling in a paid course, selecting a payment plan, or purchasing an extension or service, you agree to this Refund and Cancellation Policy.

1. Free Trial Before Paid Enrollment

Homeschool Coding Academy offers a 14-day free trial with no credit card required. The free trial allows families to explore the program before choosing whether to enroll in a paid course. The trial does not automatically convert into a paid plan. To continue after the trial, a parent or guardian must separately select and purchase a paid enrollment plan. Because families are given an opportunity to try the program before paying, paid course enrollments are non-refundable except where required by law or where Homeschool Coding Academy determines that a billing error occurred.

2. No Refunds After Paid Enrollment

All paid enrollments are final. Homeschool Coding Academy does not provide refunds for:

  • Upfront tuition payments

  • Monthly installment payments already processed

  • Partial months

  • Unused course access

  • Student schedule changes

  • Student withdrawal

  • Failure to complete the course

  • Technology issues outside our control

  • Internet access problems

  • Device compatibility issues

  • Change of mind after enrollment

  • Failure to use the course after purchase

Families may cancel future monthly installment payments as described below, but payments already processed are not refundable.

3. Upfront Payment and Tuition Reduction

Some payment plans may include an upfront payment or tuition reduction. The upfront payment is non-refundable. It is applied toward upfront costs including, but not limited to:

  • Student licensing

  • Course configuration

  • Account setup

  • Student provisioning

  • Administrative processing

  • Technology access preparation

These costs are incurred when the student is enrolled and are not recoverable by Homeschool Coding Academy.

4. Monthly Installment Payments

Some families may choose a payment plan with an upfront payment and monthly installment payments. Monthly installment payments are billed in advance for the upcoming month. Billing normally occurs on the first business day of each month. For example, the payment billed on or about September 1 covers course access for the month of September. Monthly installment payments already processed are non-refundable.

5. Cancellation of Future Monthly Payments

Families may cancel future monthly installment payments by submitting a cancellation request. Cancellation requests may be submitted by:

  • Completing the online cancellation form, if available

  • Emailing support@homeschoolcodingacademy.com

To prevent the next monthly installment from being billed, the cancellation request must be received on or before the 20th day of the current month. A cancellation request received on the 20th will be processed for the next scheduled payment.

If a cancellation request is received after the 20th day of the month, the next monthly installment may still be processed, and access may continue through the end of the next paid month. No prorated refunds are provided.

6. Course Access After Cancellation

If a cancellation is processed before the next monthly installment, the student will generally retain access through the end of the current paid month. After the paid access period ends, the student’s access may be suspended, disabled, or removed. Cancellation stops future monthly installment payments. It does not refund payments already made.

7. Incomplete Course Status After Cancellation

If a student cancels or is disenrolled before completing the course requirements, the course status will be marked Incomplete.

Any grade displayed before completion is an in-progress grade only and is not a final course grade. Homeschool Coding Academy may decline to issue a final course grade, completion record, certificate, or transcript-ready grade report if the student does not complete the required coursework.

8. Failed Payments

If a monthly installment payment fails, the family will generally have 7 days to resolve the payment issue. During this 7-day grace period, access may remain active. If payment is not resolved within 7 days, Homeschool Coding Academy may suspend course access. If payment remains unpaid, the student may be disenrolled from the course. Failure to pay may result in the student’s course status being marked Incomplete. Homeschool Coding Academy is not responsible for missed assignments, delayed progress, or loss of access caused by failed or unresolved payments.

9. No Prorated Refunds

Homeschool Coding Academy does not provide prorated refunds.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Mid-month cancellations

  • Unused course access

  • Missed lessons

  • Vacations

  • Sports tournaments

  • Speech and debate tournaments

  • Travel

  • Family schedule changes

  • Technology problems outside our control

  • Student withdrawal before completion

Students may work ahead, pause, or catch up within the allowed course access period.

10. June Extension Option

Families may request to purchase one additional month of access in June if extra time is needed to complete coursework. The June extension:

  • Is not automatic

  • Must be requested by the parent or guardian

  • Must be approved by Homeschool Coding Academy

  • Must be paid in advance

  • Is non-refundable once purchased

No refunds are provided for unused extension time.

11. Manual Grade Review Fee

At the end of a semester or school year, a parent or guardian may request a manual review of the student’s assignments or grade. A manual review fee of up to $75 may be charged. The fee must be paid before the manual review begins. The manual review fee is non-refundable unless the review results in a full letter grade increase or more, (e.g. from "C" to "A"). If the manual review results in a full letter grade increase or more, the manual review fee will be waived or refunded. A manual review does not guarantee a grade change.

12. Discounts and Promo Codes

Discounts, promo codes, co-op codes, school codes, sibling discounts, and other special offers must be applied at the time of purchase. Discounts cannot be applied retroactively after purchase unless Homeschool Coding Academy chooses to make an exception in writing. Discounts generally cannot be combined unless expressly stated.

13. Account Suspension or Termination

Homeschool Coding Academy may suspend or terminate access as described in the Terms of Use, including for:

  • Non-payment

  • Failed payment

  • Account sharing

  • Cheating

  • Misuse of the course or platform

  • Harassment

  • Violation of academic integrity rules

  • Violation of the Terms of Use

  • Unauthorized copying or distribution of course materials

Suspension or termination for violation of the Terms of Use does not entitle the family to a refund.

14. Billing Errors

If you believe there has been a billing error, duplicate charge, or incorrect charge, please contact us promptly at:

support@homeschoolcodingacademy.com   . Homeschool Coding Academy may review the charge and, if we determine that a billing error occurred, may issue a correction or refund at our discretion.

15. Relationship to Terms of Use

This Refund and Cancellation Policy is part of the agreement between you and Homeschool Coding Academy.

Refunds, cancellations, payment plans, access suspension, failed payments, and related issues are also governed by our Terms of Use. If there is a conflict between this Refund and Cancellation Policy and the Terms of Use regarding refund or cancellation issues, this Refund and Cancellation Policy will control.
